René Karst gets a program on Radio Drenthe: ‘Kind of festival’

René Karst from Hoogeveen will have his own program on Radio Drenthe. From Saturday September 10, he will present the program ‘Karstival’ every Saturday between 2 and 4 pm.

“During the program you can relax and enjoy a kind of festival. For example, if you are working in the garden or washing your car,” says the singer, who had a new hit this summer with “That really doesn’t interest me.” one ass’. “Of course it’s not a real festival. We kind of mold it into a festival. We go from stage to stage, where another band is playing.”

According to Karst, it will be a very variable program. There are not only Dutch songs, also English, Spanish or German songs for example. “Anything can pass.” Karst explains that this is a division of half domestic and half foreign. “Within the domestic part there is a large part of Drents. That is my mother tongue. I want to propagate that. I am not afraid to do something in Drents very often. But it will be half-half.”

Speaking of car washing. A ‘car wash’ passes by every week in Karst’s show. Someone who is washing the car can request a plate for the following week. If you have a nice story to tell, you have a chance to win a free car wash at a car wash in your area.

RTV Drenthe is making more changes on the radio. From Monday 5 September, Judith Regendorp will start the day from 07:00 with ‘Good morning Drenthe’. “Every now and then you have to hold the programs up to the light and see where you can connect even better with the audience,” says Dink Binnendijk, director and editor-in-chief of RTV Drenthe. “We hope to do the listeners a great favor with these adjustments.”

From 9:00 am Wim Boer will present ‘Coffee and Keuvelen’ from September 5 during the week. The 3-hour program pays a lot of attention to music from the Netherlands. Anouk in the Afternoon moves to 12:00 to 15:00. Studio Steenbergen, between 3 and 6 pm, starts in the first hour with a lot of music from the 60s and 70s. Johan Derksen closes the day between 6 and 7 pm as usual with blues and Americana in Music for Adults.

In the weekend, in addition to the existing programs, you can also listen to ‘De Boer op’, the ‘ Ziezozaterdagshow’ and thus Karstival. And on Sundays between 6 and 7 pm there will be music by Johan Derksen in ‘The legacy of Harry Muskee’.
