Only a few days left until the end of the long holidays, the return to work for most and the return of fashion events in the major capitals. After New York, London and Milan, from September 26th to October 4th, it will be Paris’ turn to present the Spring/Summer 2023 Women’s Fashion Week.
There are 105 houses on the official calendar for this new season. The provisional calendar presented by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode announces 64 fashion shows and 41 presentations.
The new arrivals of the season
As with every edition, new brands appear in the official calendar, appearing on the catwalk for the first time in the fashion capital. Newcomers set to host catwalk shows in Paris include Awake Mode and UK’s Victoria Beckham. After two years without a runway show, eponymous brand Victoria Beckham returns and chooses Paris as the venue – a major first. Since its inception in 2008, the brand has participated in fashion weeks in New York and London.
Other new brands include Weisanto (France), which will open the fashion shows on Monday 26 September, and Zimmermann (Australia), which will be at the show on Monday 3 October. Finally, American label The Row, which debuted on the Paris calendar in March, returns to Paris and is expected to walk the catwalk on Wednesday September 28th.
French fashion house Celine, although it returned to the official calendar in June 2022, is not on the FHCM program this season. On June 26, she presented her spring/summer 2023 men’s collection at the Palais de Tokyo.
Also announced for the presentations are Aigle, Boutet Solanes and Pressiat from France, Anna October from Ukraine, Florentina Leitner from Austria, Paula Canovas Del Vas from Spain and Ruohan from China.
In addition to the on-site presentations, most of the shows will also be shown on the Paris Fashion Week platform: parisfashionweek.fhcm.paris/en/. The final official calendar will be published on the same platform in the week of September 12th.
