Students in the North region start their school year
Schools in the north of the country will reopen on Monday. After six weeks of summer vacation, the students start the new school year at primary and secondary schools. The North region includes the provinces of Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, Overijssel, North Holland and Flevoland.
Last week, students in the center of the country returned to school. In the south region, schools will be closed for another week. The children will go back to school there at the beginning of September.
Next year, the middle region will again be the first to have summer holidays, followed by the south and then the north.
