An elderly woman was assaulted and robbed in a house robbery on Rijsbergseweg in Etten-Leur on Sunday. That happened around two o’clock in the afternoon. Because of her injuries, she was only able to alert the police hours later.
The robbery was committed by two men who, in good Dutch, claimed to be from the municipality. Then they struck.
The victim was badly beaten, according to police. Because of her injuries, she was not able to call the police until much later on her own. The woman has been transferred to a hospital.

As far as we know, the perpetrators have not been traced. Police are investigating the case and are asking witnesses to come forward. No information has been released about the possible loot.
