The course Freedom in Christ has a broad target audience. According to Van Werven, it does not matter whether participants have just come to faith or have been followers of Jesus for years. “Anyone who wants to experience more of God can participate. The meetings are mainly practical. Participants participate in the group, but are also asked to think about the material at home.”
