The sporting goods specialist Peloton also wants to sell its fitness equipment at the world’s largest online retailer Amazon.
The company announced a corresponding cooperation for the US market on Wednesday. Until now, Peloton has relied on exclusive sales via its own websites and showrooms. But after a boom at the beginning of the pandemic, when many gyms closed, demand for training bikes and treadmills dropped sharply again.
The partnership with Amazon should now get sales going again. That went down well with investors, with Peloton’s shares up over 15 percent in early US trade. (dpa)
