Hubertus Heil (49), Federal Labor Minister, tried to hit the bull’s eye.
In the arena of 1. FC Magdeburg, the SPD politician shot a few times from the penalty spot on Thursday – and sank several balls into the goal.
Heil used to play for SV Adler Hämelerwald near his hometown, Peine in Lower Saxony – “as a right-back”, as he said. His son now plays in the same position at another club.
In the federal government, Heil next wants to land a socio-political hit. Against some resistance, he wants to ensure the introduction of citizen income instead of the current Hartz IV system on January 1st. In Magdeburg’s MDCC Arena, the Minister of Labor met the makers of a startup called mycrocast, with whose apps, among other things, anyone can comment on football matches themselves.
