Füchse Berlin have extended the contract with Valter Chrintz until 2026. The Bundesliga handball team announced this on Wednesday.

Chrintz’s working paper, which had been valid until then, would have expired at the end of the season. The left-hander moved from IFK Kristianstad to the Spree two years ago.

However, the Swedish European champions have been thrown back by injuries and corona diseases in the past two seasons. The 22-year-old has only played 66 competitive games for the foxes, in which he scored 47 goals.

I am very happy that we were able to bind Valter Chrintz to the foxes in the long term. With his positive charisma, he can become a face of Füchse Berlin in the long term,” said Füchse Managing Director Bob Hanning.

The vice world champion from 2021 and European champion from this January is still in the shadow of top scorer Hans Lindberg.
