Radio journalist Johnny (Phoenix) is unexpectedly left to care for his nephew Woody – an unfamiliar and challenging situation for both of them. For Johnny’s radio project, they embark on a road trip across the United States. On the journey, a deep, emotional connection gradually develops between the two, which changes uncle and nephew forever.
