After leading a new controversy as a result of the boycott of the minute of silence for the victims of the 17-A attacks, the former president of the Parliament Laura Borras reappears this Tuesday at a conference on “the limits of parliamentarism” at the Universitat Catalana d’Estiu, in Prada de Conflent (France). The act coincides with the growing pressure from ERC on Junts to agree to replace Borràs in the Parliamentary table.
The President of the Generalitat, Pere Aragones, called on his government partner on Sunday to relieve Borràs until there is a court ruling, on the condition that he could regain his post if he is finally acquitted. The leader of the PSC, Salvador Islandhas proposed to ERC an alternative route that contemplates the Parliament’s regulations to replace the leader of Junts without the need to agree with the post-convergence party.
