National player Svenja Huth from VfL Wolfsburg has once again called for better conditions in women’s football.
“We have to get there so that players don’t have to work 30 or 40 hours a week in addition to football and that there is good medical care and good training grounds. That’s the basis,” Huth told the “kicker”.
All players should also “be able to make a living from football, and the bonuses have to be adjusted. That would be very important,” added Huth.
Because of the euphoria at the European Championships, however, “we were able to push things forward in Germany. Even without this title, we have already won a lot. And now it is of course the task to take this euphoria with us into everyday life in the Bundesliga and into the international matches. We have to try to maintain that,” stressed Huth (31).
ARD will broadcast the international match of the DFB women in October against France at 8:30 p.m. “We finally have the opportunity to play prime time on ARD. That’s great progress,” said Huth.
According to Huth, “you always wanted to get the attention. And this opportunity must also be used. Chancellor Olaf Scholz was with us in the dressing room after the final in Wembley. That’s also a sign. I hope that now too Actions follow”.
