Usyk and Joshua battled it out for the full 12 rounds before the judges ruled in favor of Usyk: 115-113 and 116-112 for the defending champion versus 115-113 for his British challenger.
Usyk dedicated his victory – almost naturally – to his country at war. “I dedicate this to my family, my compatriots and all soldiers who defend our country.”
Tyson Fury
Immediately after Usyk’s victory over Joshua, rumors of a possible clash between the Ukrainian and Tyson Fury immediately arose. Former boxer Lennox Lewis, among others, likes such a match: „Can we finally give the fans an unparalleled title fight? We’ve been waiting for it for 19 years and the fans deserve it!”

Fury, who has recently hinted at a return to the ring from his boxer retirement, immediately fed the rumors about a duel against Usyk. Shortly after the match between Usyk and Joshua, he announced via social media that he was not particularly impressed by the qualities of the two boxers.
Anthony Joshua
The losing Joshua was initially unable to control his emotion after his second defeat against Osyk and behaved very unsportsmanlike. He threw two oars out of the ring and sneered at his opponent: “How can you beat me?” Finally he calmed down and still had nice words for his opponent. “This man is a phenomenal talent.”
