A professional women’s boxing match has taken place in Saudi Arabia for the first time.
In Jeddah on Saturday, Britain’s Ramla Ali defeated Dominican Republic opponent Crystal Nova Price by knockout within seconds of the first round. Ali celebrated her seventh win and remains undefeated.
The fight took place before the heavyweight world championship fight between British Anthony Joshua and defending champion Alexander Usyk from Ukraine (11:15 p.m. / DAZN). The Ukrainian defeated Joshua on points in London last year.
