SBS 6 has suddenly removed the new season of the reality series Andy & Melisa from its broadcast schedules. Does the station take into account that Peter Gillis will still disappear from the tube?
Peter Gillis has completely lost his gun factor in a short time. In the first place by lying about the fact that the police arrested him, but of course mainly because, according to the Public Prosecution Service, he assaulted his girlfriend Nicol. Most people think he should be off the air, but the ‘morally bankrupt’ Talpa has no problem with it.
Annoying comment
Talpa clings to Peter and that leads to disbelief on all sides. It wouldn’t surprise Angela de Jong anymore if they would soon offer Frank Masmeijer a job, she said yesterday in Today Inside.
Johan Derksen: “Frank Masmeijer has been convicted of coke deals. Then there is no TV station that starts on you.”
Angela cynically: “Yes, except maybe Talpa. Do not you think?”
Johan: “No, I find that a bit of an annoying remark to Talpa, because that makes no sense. Why Talpa then? Do they employ more people who have been convicted of coke?”
Angela: “Well, at least those who have a business hanging on their pants, right?”
fat bag
Johan does not think that Peter needs to be taken off the tube. “That fat ass is now being taken out for the stage.”
Colleague Wilfred Genee: “Not for the stage. He really threw his wife against the wall, he bit and beat her, so it’s not for the stage.”
John: “No, no, no. Yes, you dramatize that, but that happens a lot in the Netherlands.
Wilfred: “Yes, but that’s not good, is it?”
Angela: “You can’t bear to see that man trudging through his parks again, can you? “
Lean backwards
There is also internal criticism of Talpa’s decision to stick to Talpa. For example, Shownieuws expert Iris van Lunenburg calls it a good thing that the TV interview with the abused Jaimie Vaes has a chance to win a Televizier prize, because she has given victims of domestic violence a face.
Iris: “I think it’s important to have a topic like this… Other people have to deal with it too. Of course we now have Peter Gillis and there may not be an adequate response from all sides or there will be a bit more leaning back.”
That is, of course, disguised criticism of her own employer.
Still Gillis exit?
For the time being, the new season of Familie Gillis: Massa is Kassa is still planned for Tuesday September 6 at SBS 6. Or is Talpa still in doubt?
RTL Boulevard reporter Joost Maiburg points out that the reality series Andy & Melisa has suddenly disappeared from the schedule. That series was supposed to start on Friday 26 August, but Het Roer Om has now been placed there.
Joost: “I think it can mean two things. One: they don’t want Andy to compete with themselves (at the same time as Veronica Offside), or two: They keep Andy & Melissa in case Massa is Kassa does change channels.”
