A cross from Hofmann blocks Mittelstädt clearly with his arm. Plea sunk the penalty safely to 1:0. But it shouldn’t be the only hand penalty in the game.

Gladbach wins 1-0 against Berlin and climbs to the top spot in the Bundesliga at least until Saturday afternoon.

Gladbach has the first big chance in the game, but Plea’s shot lands on the right post (7th). Shortly afterwards luck for Hertha again. After a corner from Hofmann, Christensen reacted brilliantly and was then shot by Thuram on the line.

But the toxic Berliners keep appearing dangerously in front of the Gladbacher Tor. But Ejuke (21st) and Lukebakio (26th, 43rd) cannot take their chances.

Then Hertha plays hand again! Uremovic jumps the ball in the penalty area on the arm. Again there is a penalty for Gladbach, but now Christensen holds against Hofmann (68th). Crazy: Thuram, Plea and Bensebaini also wanted to shoot the penalty, but Hofmann prevailed.

Bitter for Hertha: Uremovic then has to go down with yellow-red. He had already been warned at the first penalty shot for irritating Plea.

After the defeat, the Berliners are still without a threesome this season and new coach Sandro Schwarz (43) cannot win against Gladbach on his sixth attempt.
