Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky has received a wave of criticism in his own country after an interview with the American newspaper The Washington Post earlier this week. In it, he said he received “grim warnings” from the United States about a war threat from Russia last fall, but did not make them public “for fear that Ukrainians would leave the country en masse.”
