Actually there are two open monument days. On both 10 and 11 September 2022 you can take a look at monumental places. The aim of Open Monuments Day is to make people aware of the monumental heritage in our country. And it’s also nice that you can visit places that you normally don’t just enter!
This is what to do in Zoetermeer
During the monument days there is plenty to do in Zoetermeer. From guided tours and exhibitions to concerts, cycling routes and activities for children. You can take a look at the Nicolaaskerk and the Oude Kerk, among other things. Good to know: if a location works with time slots or reservations, this is clearly stated in the program. As soon as the full program is known, you will find it here.
The theme of Heritage Day 2022
This year the theme of Open Monument Day is ‘Sustainability lasts the longest’. Over the years, these monumental buildings have had to adapt to sustainability standards, within the limits of what is possible with cultural heritage. During the monument days in 2022 you will get a look at how the monumental buildings more sustainable are made.
