M.atera ranks first among the friendliest places in the world. This is the verdict of the Traveler Review Awards 2022the initiative promoted by Booking.com which rewards the best hospitality of specific places around the world.
Drawing on more than 232 million verified reviews from real travelers, the leading digital travel platform has announced the winners of the 10th edition of the accolade. And, the first is, in fact Matera, followed by two places, previously recognized in 2020, the city of Taitung in Taiwan and Monte Verde in Brazil.
Matera, the friendliest city in the world in 2022
It has served as the backdrop for blockbuster films, and its rock-cut dwellings have made it a site UNESCO World Heritage Site: Matera, wonder of southern Italy, took first place on the list of the friendliest cities in the world in 2022.
And, as regards the available accommodations, the average-very high score (9.9) was given by the guests the h-sa GUEST HOUSE and La Casa dei Nonni.

According to the Italians, immediately after the Basilicata they rank the Trentino Alto Adige and Valle d’Aosta, Molise and Campania.
As regards, however, the more welcoming regions of 2022 globally, travelers have chosen Gorenjska in Slovenia, the Taitung County in Taiwanthe Tasmania in Australia, Burgenland in Austria, the Seyschelles, Canterbury in New Zealand, Santa Cruz in Argentina, the Nova Scotia in Canada, Limón in Costa Rica e La Rioja in Spain.
