Art festival Watou attracts 12,000 visitors despite warm weather

After the corona vicissitudes, art lovers are once again finding their way to Watou. The combination of art and poetry still works. More than 12,000 people have already visited the Kunstenfestival. In the coming weeks, that number is likely to increase sharply, as many art lovers have postponed their visit due to the warm weather.

The Poperinge city council, which took over the organization a few years ago, is already satisfied: “We still have three weeks to go and will probably achieve the target of 20,000 visitors. That is comparable to the editions in 2019 and 2018.”
