At the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, national athletes won 5 medals, one of which was gold, on the first day of judo branch.
In the judo competitions held at Konya Technical University Sports Hall, Turkey closed the day with 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals.
Tuğçe Beder won gold medals in 48 kilos, Şeyma Özerler silver medals in 63 kilos, Merve Koçyiğit in 52 kilos and İrem Korkmaz bronze medals in 57 kilos.
National judoka Umalt Demirel won the bronze medal in the men’s 73 kg category.
Competitions in judo will continue tomorrow.
