In the first week of the 2022-2023 football season, the Central Referee Board, who appointed Ümit Öztürk, who should not even be the referee for our Kayserispor match played in our field, caused us to doubt his intentions. The Corendon Alanyaspor match, which we played away in the second week of the season, went down as a new black mark in the Turkish Football History with the referee’s management. The arms of Yasin Kol, the referee of the match, pointed to the decisions that affected the result and usurped our three points many times throughout the match. We will raise our voices until these arms that mean our rights point to justice. We will not allow anyone, not the referee, to usurp our labor and sweat. We will defend our right to the end in every medium.
We do not want to see the deliberate arms of referee Yasin Kol, who made these scandalous decisions yesterday, in any of our matches this season. We did not and will not allow anyone who aims to create chaos in Turkish football. Our attitude is injustice. Regardless of the results, whether we lose or win, Beşiktaş will continue to stand against injustice.
We strongly condemn those who try to interfere with the social peace of the Great Beşiktaş Community by preventing the game from being won on the field.
Our President, Ahmet Nur Cebi, has repeatedly said, “Let our young referees be cleared, if they make mistakes, let our referees who do not have a hidden agenda”, we also emphasized the need for those young referees to be well-educated and qualified. We doubt the merit and intention of the referee we watched on the field yesterday, and we expect the answer from the Central Arbitration Committee how he came to the level to manage our match. Our community should know that our President Ahmet Nur Cebi will go to the Turkish Football Federation and ensure that the issue is followed up.
