Frans Frangén is used to being recognized because of his parents. He talks about it to Yle Nepotin the documentary series.
Fransi’s mother is ex-MP Rosa Meriläinen and father is comedian Simo Frangén.
– What annoys me sometimes is the fact that I am only seen through my parents, Frans says.
The series follows Frans as he runs for the Helsinki City Council as a candidate for the Green Party. Frans often comes across a certain thing during his campaign, which seems to annoy him.
– Every other person is always: “So you’re Rosa’s son or Simon’s son”.
– Then I always answer that I’m not a boy, but a child is.
Frans has spoken publicly about being of the opposite sex.
He admits that having well-known parents has also benefited him during his campaign.
– Mother has been in politics, so there is concrete information at home on how to do this. Yes, it is a huge help, and that there are relationships everywhere.
In addition to Frangén, the daughter of Martina Aitolehti and Esko Eerikäinen appears in the series Victoria. Actress Sanna Saarijärven will also be able to vote Fannydaughter, ex-child star Viljami Lahti and Helga Temonen, whose parents are Olga Temonen and Tuukka Temonen.
