Theo Reinhardt secured another German medal at the European Track Cycling Championships in Munich.
The Berliner secured the silver medal in the elimination round on Sunday evening. Reinhardt, who led the race for a long time, only had to admit defeat to world champion Elia Viviani.
The Italian was rewarded for a mammoth program: Viviani had already contested the 200 km long road race in the afternoon and finished a strong seventh. Bronze on the track went to Belgian Jules Hesters.
