An air ambulance came to the scene and the man was rushed to a hospital by ambulance.
The accident happened for unknown reasons around 5.30 pm at a gas station in the South Limburg hill country village. Firefighters pulled the seriously injured driver from under his car.
Initially, the story went that the man had tried to stop his rolling car from outside, but that turned out not to be the case. The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
