Flemish government releases 5.5 million euros for asbestos removal in schools and welfare institutions

The Flemish government is going to release money to make schools and welfare institutions asbestos-safe. This is announced by Flemish Minister for the Environment Zuhal Demir (N-VA) in a press release. With the extra 5.5 million euros, asbestos can be removed in 165 schools and 190 healthcare institutions. “In addition, we can also make asbestos inventories for hundreds of buildings in order to prepare for future removals,” says Demir.
