2nd game, 2nd win: Penguins beat Schwenningen again

The Fischtown Pinguins met the Wild Wings twice within 24 hours in Bremerhaven – and on Thursday evening they also came off the ice as winners.

The Fischtown Pinguins also won the second duel against the Schwenninger Wild Wings within two days in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL).

The North Germans won the rematch on Thursday 3-1 (2-0, 0-0, 1-1). Bremerhaven is now in sixth place in the battle for the play-off spots with 65 points. Schwenningen, on the other hand, is further down the table.

Double packers Miha Verlic (8th/59th) and Jan Urbas (15th) scored for the home side. With Brett Pollock (53rd) just before the end, Schwenningen was only able to shorten the gap. Bremerhaven had already won 4:3 after extra time on Wednesday. Ziga Jeglic scored the decisive goal in the fourth minute of overtime.
