Jude Bellingham has to go to court

Borussia Dortmund’s high-flyer Jude Bellingham is in trouble. The young BVB professional has to answer in court in his native England. The incident dates back several months, but is only now being dealt with.

Like, among other things, the portal “WorcesterNews” reported, BVB high-flyer Jude Bellingham had to appear in court in Birmingham on Wednesday for two traffic offences.

On March 1 of this year, the Englishman is said to have looked at his mobile phone and used the Whatsapp message service while driving a Mercedes A180 on Augustus Road in Birmingham, thereby violating the traffic rules.

Following the offence, the local authorities requested a statement from Bellingham, but since the BVB professional did not comply with this request, he was also charged on April 1 for failing to provide the requested information.

BVB star Ju Bellingham is threatened with a driving ban

It is unclear what punishment the England international faces if convicted. In England, a fine of up to £1,000 (approx. €1,200) and a driving ban are possible for this type of offence.

The use of smartphones while driving has only been banned in England since the beginning of 2021. Previously, according to legal regulations, it was only forbidden to use the telephone for communication. However, surfing the Internet while driving was permitted.

This legal loophole has now been closed. Since then, any use of smartphones while driving has been strictly forbidden.

Bellingham is not the first known traffic offender in the ranks of BVB. A few years ago it came out that captain Marco Reus also broke the rules for a long time.

However, his offense weighed much more heavily, after all, the international was on the road for many years without a valid driver’s license. Reus now has his “rag” in his pocket.
