Stefan Mues is the new managing director at Hessnatur.
Mues will take over the management of the sustainable fashion company from March, Hessnatur announced on Thursday. He has more than 20 years of experience in e-commerce, digital transformation and retail.
Most recently, Mues worked for the Swiss clothing company Calida Group as a digital director. He was also responsible for the e-commerce sector as managing director.
“I’m really looking forward to my new challenge and working with the team,” said Mues. “For me, Hessnatur is the perfect company: As a pioneer of the sustainability movement, it sets the standards in the market and has always been ahead of its time. Economic success is linked to social and ecological responsibility and great fashion.”
Mues takes over after the departure of Managing Director Ebinger
So far, Hessnatur has been managed jointly by Kristin Heckmann, Kathrin Schneider, Christina Pöttner, Patrick Götz and Philip Tönnies, the management team. The team took over after it became known in mid-November that Managing Director Andrea-Sibylle Ebinger was leaving the company. The management was supported by Reiner Pichler, who has been on the advisory board of Hessnatur GmbH & Co. KG since 2016. Like Mues, Pichler worked at Calida and was the managing director there.
“Stefan Mues brings with him extensive experience and we are very pleased to have won him as CEO for Hessnatur,” said Reiner Pichler, Chairman of the Advisory Board at Hessnatur. “Together with the Hessnatur team, he will continue on the course of growth and further expand Hessnatur’s strong position as the European market leader for fair fashion.”
