Marius Bülter between “frustration” and “euphoria”

Marius Bülter scored his first Bundesliga goal in almost two years against 1. FC Köln on Sunday. Nevertheless, it was not enough for FC Schalke 04 to get anything countable. The miners lost 1:3. Bülter is nevertheless confident about the upcoming tasks of the team in the upper house.

“This defeat shouldn’t take away our euphoria and anticipation for the upcoming home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The fans are behind us, you could see that after the final whistle in Cologne. That’s a strong sign, we have to take that with us,” said the 29-year-old, who is contesting his second season in Gelsenkirchen, on the Club homepage of FC Schalke.

The fact that Bülter had scored a goal in the first Bundesliga game for the Royal Blues since promotion made the offensive man “of course a bit happy”. But at the same time he restricted: “I can’t buy anything for that. The frustration about the defeat outweighs it.”

Bülter, who was substituted on in the 58th minute when the score was 0-1 and scored his goal 18 minutes later, found his team’s performance to be combative.
