The KNVB has today announced the match dates for the quarter-finals of the national cup tournament. Both Ajax and AZ will be in action on Wednesday 9 February at 7 p.m.
Ajax will compete against Vitesse for a place in the semi-finals in its own Johan Cruijff Arena. AZ will then play against RKC in Waalwijk at the same time.
In the previous round of the KNVB Cup, AZ won with Twente 2-1. Ajax easily qualified with 9-0 to win from the amateurs of Excelsior Maassluis.
AZ – Go Ahead Eagles
Because Go Ahead Eagles will also play in the quarterfinals in addition to AZ, the Eredivisie game between the two teams will be moved. This match will now be played on Sunday 13 February at 4.45 pm. Originally, this game was scheduled for Saturday, February 12.
