Concrete negotiations between Juve and Kostic

After the bitter 1: 6 home clap against FC Bayern on Friday evening, Filip Kostic continues to make the headlines at Eintracht Frankfurt. Whether the winger will switch to Italy this transfer summer will probably be decided in the coming days.

Kostic initially seemed committed against Munich in the opening game of the Bundesliga, but as the game progressed he acted without any connection to the game (sport.de rating 4.5). Fifteen minutes before the end of the game, the Serb was substituted by SGE head coach Oliver Glasner.

There were rumors surrounding the encounter that the 29-year-old could be leaving for Juventus in the near future.

According to information from the TV broadcaster “Sky”, talks between consultants Kostics and Juve representatives took place in Turin on Friday. It is not yet known whether a basic agreement has already been reached on a possible transfer of the Eintracht star.

A concrete offer from the Italian record champions to the Frankfurters, with whom Kostic is still under contract until 2023, has not been made, at least until recently, it said.

Will the Kostic decision be made before the real cracker?

Should Juventus really get serious, the decision could be made shortly before Eintracht’s Supercup game against Champions League winners Real Madrid next Wednesday evening (from 9:00 p.m.) in Helsinki.

When asked why Coach Glasner had substituted his winger against FC Bayern a quarter of an hour before the end, the Austrian responded with humor on Friday evening: “It’s clear that he’s fit for the start in Italy.”

After being substituted, Kostic waved his hand towards Eintracht fans, which was increasingly interpreted as a possible farewell to the supporters. Kostic has played for the Hessians for the last four years and was one of the crowd favorites in Frankfurt until the very end.
