Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner expects winger Filip Kostic to stay with the Hessian Bundesliga club despite intensive advertising from Juventus Turin.
“He’s dying to play the Champions League with Eintracht. That’s why I’m in good spirits,” said Glasner before the Europa League winner’s Bundesliga opening game against record champions Bayern Munich on TV station “Sat.1”.
According to Italian media reports, Juventus has increased its offer for a transfer from Kostic this week to twelve million euros plus possible bonus payments.
The offer from the Italian record champions is a “sign of quality and appreciation,” emphasized Glasner, adding: “At the end of the day, the players always decide for themselves. If they really want to leave and the offer is right, then it will go through . But these players now also want to play in the Champions League, it’s the first time in the club’s history.”
