Reporter Elly Smit will show us all the corners of the province in the coming days. Throughout the week, the radio section Op Tjak focuses on the Drenthepad. The path of 329 kilometers will not be completely walked by Elly, daily she walks pieces of fifteen to twenty kilometers.
Today the tour started in Gieten at the Zwanemeer swimming pool. Elly walked through the village of Gieten towards the ravine between Gieten and Gasselte. A beautiful piece of nature. “If you want to walk slightly from the Drenthepad, this is recommended,” says Elly.
On the way, she stopped in Bronneger at organic farmers Grada and Jacob Engels, who have created a nice resting place for hikers. The route ended at the Hunebedcentrum in Borger.
