Zandvoort car parks packed, municipality calls on you not to come anymore

The municipality of Zandvoort calls on people no longer to come to the seaside resort by car. The parking lots at the beach are full. There is no place for cars in the village itself either.

The municipality advises beachgoers who still want to come to take the train or bicycle. Other beach municipalities in the province have not yet called for people not to come by car.

Since 1 July, bathers and day trippers have been allowed to park in paid parking in the neighborhoods where previously only permit holders were allowed. Last Tuesday it was also very busy in the seaside resort. Because of the heat that day, many people came to the village and the parking spaces were quickly full.

Many residents then had difficulty finding a place for their own car, was apparent from the dozens of complaints received by NH Nieuws. Some residents said it took them up to half an hour to find a spot. It is not clear whether this is also the case today.
