Mossos from the Valls police station dismantled last Thursday a crop of marijuana located in the municipality of El Pont d’Armentera (Alt Camp, Tarragona) Y They arrested two men, both 27 years old.as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime.
For months, the Mossos have carried out prevention measures in areas of the natural environment where marijuana plantations were located in other years. These devices have made it possible to identify people linked to the crop and also prevent the installation of plantations in the territory.
The police operation was carried out after confirming the existence of a possible marijuana plantation spread over three terraces located in a wooded area of difficult access. First thing in the morning, the Mossos carried out a device that had the support of members of the Special Intervention Group (GEI).

Despite the orographic difficulties of the terrainthe agents reached the plots where they located 3,617 marijuana plants one meter high as well as an irrigation system made up of plastic pipes from some water ponds.
A few meters away, the agents observed a camp with several tents and upon arrival, they found two traps in the form of nails embedded in wood and hidden in the bushes.

The Mossos were able to surround the space and surprise and stop the two men who were in charge of surveillance and cultivation. In the place where they spent the night, food and drinks, backpacks, clothing and various phytosanitary products for the protection and growth of crops were found. There was also a defensive baton with nails up to five centimeters.
The detainees were handed over to the Valls guard court of instruction last Friday and the judge ordered their release with precautionary measures.
