Florida-born US rapper Denzel Curry released his new single “Walkin” on Monday. It is the first release from his forthcoming album MELT MY EYEZ SEE YOUR FUTURE. See the related video here.
The clip for the single “Walkin” shows Curry as a kind of lonely ranger roaming through the city and desert. Meanwhile, the rapper gives insights into his emotional world and experiences of the social reality that is difficult to bear. The track itself is stylistically characterized by several variations of its flow – supported by a scenery somewhere between “Star Wars” and Western.
Curry already hinted at his new album on January 5th in an album trailer called “Melt My Eyez”. However, an official release date for the album, which will be released in spring, has not yet been announced. Part of the guest list: T-Pain, Slowthai, 6lack, Rico Nasty, Buzzy Lee, Thundercat, JID, Robert Glasper, JPEGMAFIA and Kenny Beats should be part of the party.
The beginnings of the 26-year-old Curry are in Miami, where he found access to music very early on through his family. Several strokes of fate then shaped the musical existence of the artist. MELT MY EYEZ SEE YOUR FUTURE is the sixth studio album of his career to date. Curry has already received gold and platinum awards in the USA for the music sales of some of his singles. Denzel Curry is scheduled to come to Germany in May for four concerts in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Hanover.
