Zalando announces new Germany boss

Last week it was announced that Zalando’s Germany boss Florian Jodl is leaving the Berlin online retailer after more than 10 years with the company. His successor has also been with the company for almost ten years.

Christoph Lütke Schelhowe will take over the management for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH), as confirmed by Zalando at the request of FashionUnited. The specialist magazine Textilwirtschaft had previously reported on the personnel. His predecessor had only held the position since April 2021.

New Germany boss comes from our own ranks

Like his predecessor, Lütke Schelhowe joined Zalando from McKinsey & Company, according to his Linkedin profile. Jodl switched from management consultancy to online retailer in May 2012 and Lütke Schelhowe followed in October 2012.

He has held various roles at Zalando over the past ten years, currently as Vice President Demand – Customer Acquisition & Engagement. From autumn he will take over overall management of the DACH market. Lütke Schelhowe is just about to complete projects in his current position, it was said last week from Berlin.
