The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants has just released its list with the best restaurants in the world 2022 during a gala held in London.

Born in 2002 under the auspices of the British professional magazine ‘Restaurant Magazine’, it evolved to have its own profile, becoming industry benchmark and counterattacked by other guides such as La Liste, born in France as a counterweight, or the more modest OAD.

Although it was said at the beginning that The World’s 50 Best Restaurants discussed the Michelin hegemonythese are two different models.

To compile the world list, the vote of 1,080 people is counted, equal parts chefs, journalists and great gastronomic travelers. They each chose 10 restaurants, with the option of choosing places in their home region or beyond, based on their ability to travel over the past 18 months. Voting and results are independently adjudicated by Deloitte.

Previously, the ranking was announced, ranging from 51st to 100th place.
