The truck of Daan Baarslag from Hoogeveen has a chance to be voted the most beautiful truck in the Netherlands. That election will be held during the Truckstar Festival in Assen, on 30 and 31 July.
A total of 24 finalists have been nominated by the organizing magazine Truckstar. The trucks are divided into eight categories, such as refrigerated transport, special vehicles and sea container transport. The Baarslag truck falls under the category of special vehicles. There are three nominations in each category.
All selected trucks are driven daily. It is up to a professional jury to choose the most beautiful truck during the festival weekend. It will be announced on Sunday afternoon.
The Truckstar Festival is on the TT Circuit. There will be more than 2,300 trucks on site throughout the weekend. The 24 nominated trucks will be given a prominent place on the festival site.
