Tallon Greek track extends title at Dutch Open

Today, Tallon groenpoor has won the final of the Dutch Open in Amersfoort. The tennis player from Nieuw-Vennep defeated Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena in the final in two sets: 6-1, 6-2.

Last year, Greek track also won the Dutch Open. Then the 26-year-old tennis player defeated compatriot Botic van de Zandschulp. In this edition of the Dutch Challenger tournament, Greek track had no trouble at all with its Spanish opponent in the final. Greek track broke Carballes Baene several times and also served extremely well.

Top 50

Greek track is now 47th in the world ranking. Challenger tournaments do not officially allow players to compete in the global top 50. At the time of registration, however, Greek track was outside the top fifty and so he was allowed to defend his title this week.

The win of the Dutch Open is its first overall victory for Greek track since November 2021. De Nieuw-Venneper was then the best during the Challenger tournament from Bratislava.
