A 79-year-old driver died in an accident on the district road between Randow and Berlinchen (Ostprignitz-Ruppin).
The man left the road in a right-hand bend and crashed into a tree for reasons that are still unclear on Saturday, a spokeswoman for the situation service of the Brandenburg police reported.
The 79-year-old died at the scene of the accident due to his serious injuries.
Because of the rescue work, the road remained closed for several hours. An expert was called in to determine the cause of the accident.
