There are finally verifiable statements about the long-rumored wedding of Tom Holland and Zendaya – and this time directly from one of the two parties involved. Yes, we can finally confirm that the couple actually got married… probably. At least we believe so.
The wedding has been the subject of wild speculation since Zendaya’s appearance at the 2025 Golden Globes, when she wore what looked suspiciously like an engagement ring. Then in March, Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach claimed during a red carpet interview that the wedding had “already happened.”
However, there was no direct confirmation from Holland or Zendaya. During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Zendaya managed to invalidate AI-generated wedding photos that had gone viral, but she still mastered the classic “neither confirm nor deny” perfectly during the actual event.
Six second pause
Now, in a new interview with Esquire magazine, Holland has taken a tiny step towards official confirmation – and impressively, left plenty of room for interpretation. When talking about those AI images, he said that his grandmother fell for them and was worried that she hadn’t been invited. According to the report, when the journalist asked him whether he also had to reassure other people who felt ignored, there was a six-second pause – after which Holland said: “No, because they were all there.”
When reporter Henry Wong then casually remarked that he had no idea the wedding had taken place, Holland promptly ended the questioning. “That’s all you’re going to hear from me,” he said.
Despite the abrupt end to the conversation, Holland was more open when it came to the question of how the two actors ground each other. “Our business involves very stressful situations, and it’s really nice to have a relationship as a foundation that can withstand the test of time,” he said. “We can support each other in ways that only we can – because only we truly understand what it’s like to live this life. And that’s an incredible privilege because I just can’t imagine having that with anyone else.”
Together on the screen
Holland and Zendaya will be in front of the camera together for two films this summer. In Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, Holland plays Telemachus, the son of Odysseus, while Zendaya plays the goddess Athena. Both will also reprise their roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and MJ in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”.
