National ice hockey player Matthias Plachta has extended his contract with the Adler Mannheim until 2025.
With 142 goals and 194 assists, the 31-year-old is the top scorer in the club’s history. He signed his first professional contract in Mannheim in 2009.
“Mannheim is my home, the Adler are my club,” said Plachta: “I’ve been here for many years, I’ve experienced and achieved a lot with the team. That’s why it was always my goal to continue playing for the Adler, keep playing for titles.” He has already played 566 games in the German Ice Hockey League.
Sports manager Jan-Axel Alavaara was also satisfied: “For me, Matthias is one of the best players in the league. He has everything that an attacker needs: He is extremely strong on the run and technically, his shot is a weapon. Matthias taught us about the He’s had some wonderful moments over the years and I look forward to seeing more of him in the future.”
