Police did not find anything suspicious around the house where an explosion took place last weekend. Earlier in the evening there was a report of ‘suspicious movements’ around the house on the Roef, after which the police responded with a lot of manpower. A helicopter also flew over the area.
“Given the events of last week, we are taking the report seriously and are scaling up as a precaution,” the police said. The eviction was lifted around 11 p.m.
In the night of Saturday 9 July to Sunday 10 July around 1.50 am, the explosion took place at the house on the Roef. There were no casualties, but the home was heavily damaged. Neighbors’ homes were also damaged.
The police are currently investigating the explosion, but the municipality says it has strong indications that the explosion is related to a quarrel within the drug environment†
