The first single from the new album is probably a Spanish cover

Rammstein want to release the first single of their eighth studio album before their stadium tour, which begins on May 15th. If you believe the Spanish newspaper “Heraldo”, it is not a piece of music that he wrote himself, but a cover of the song “Entre Dos Tierra” – in Spanish. Supposedly they wanted to interpret the title a few years ago in the guise of Neue Deutsche Härte, but Till Lindemann then failed to pronounce it.

The song has already filled the disco, the stadium and the living room couch

The song was originally written by the Spanish rock band Héroes del Silencio and was considered a real disco hit in the early 1990s, including in Germany. It also serves as the warm-up music for the second division soccer team Holstein Kiel and is probably known to many sedate television viewers as the theme song of the 00s Sat.1 series “Niedrig und Kuhnt”. Translated, “Entre Dos Tierra” means something like “Between the Worlds”.

The guitarist of the Spanish group Juan Valdivia said: “Rammstein is a hardcore band and we are very happy that they like the song so much that they do a cover version” – probably also knowing that in this case a money Royalties would rain down on his band. In 2007 Héroes del Silencio announced their dissolution.

Once before they spoke Spanish

It wouldn’t be Rammstein’s first trip to the Iberian Peninsula: They released the Spanish song “Te Quiero Puta” back in 2005. In the past few months, singer Till Lindemann has been intercultural, at least on his solo paths. He published the Russian piece “Lubimiy Gorod” and together with the musician Zaz the French chanson “Le Jardin Des Larmes”.
