Three diesel thieves were arrested in Waalwijk on Monday evening after they struck at the Haven 7 industrial estate. According to the police, they used skimmed fuel cards, a form of payment card fraud in which the details of a card are copied. Money is then withdrawn or things are bought with it.
On Monday evening around nine o’clock, officers received a report that several suspects were stealing diesel at the industrial estate in Waalwijk.
A little later, officers encountered a car with a trailer on the Keurweg, which contained several barrels of diesel. The car and trailer matched the report that the police received earlier.
There were three people in the car. They were immediately arrested. The car, trailer and stolen fuel were seized. The three suspects are still in custody, police said on Tuesday morning.
