That brings the day at the Tour de France

The tenth stage of the 109th Tour de France from Morzine to Megève is designated as mountainous, but there are no major difficulties. Track manager Thierry Gouvenou even described the 148.1 kilometers as an “easy regeneration day”.

Light meal:

The route planners faced a tricky task. You should plan an Alpine stage, but not so mountainous the day after the rest day. The result is a trip to Lake Geneva and at the end the 21-kilometer climb to Megève awaits. However, it is only a second-category mountain that no driver needs to fear.

Geschke’s outfit:

Simon Geschke will start from the front row in Morzine. The leaders of the various ratings always gather there. The Cofidis professional will then wear the mountain jersey for the first time on the tour. And the chances are not bad that Geschke will be called onto the podium again at the finish and will get the white jersey with the red dots for the second time.

Heat as a factor:

In the second week of the tour it gets a little warmer every day. Already on the first stage in the Alps after Chatel, some riders had to struggle with the heat. The Frenchman Alexis Vuillermoz had to go to the hospital with heat stroke after the section and announced his retirement on the rest day.
