TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi answered the question that the Fenerbahçe community was eagerly waiting for.
Speaking to Hürriyet on the subject, Büyükekşi answered the questions asked about Fenerbahçe as follows;
Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç was a person who opposed your presidency in TFF. You met several times after being elected president. Are your relationships lemony?
After I became the President of the TFF, Ali Koç became the President of the Club Union Foundation. Ali Koç, together with the presidents of the Clubs Union Foundation, paid a visit to us. After that, we were together in a couple of occasions. And very satisfied with the work we do. He stated that he was hopeful for the future, and this was also reflected in the press. Our relationship continues with respect, love and level. Our common goal is to cooperate at the highest level in order to increase the brand value of Turkish football. We will resolutely continue our work on this issue in the coming days.
Fenerbahçe community is locked in 28 championships. You said, ‘This issue is not our priority’, but what will be your attitude if Fenerbahçe takes the field next season with a 5-star jersey?
As you said, this is not our priority. As TFF, we are making innovations on many issues. We are working day and night for these innovations to reach the starting date of the Super League, August 5th. Sometimes I leave the federation at 00:00, sometimes at 01:00. We are making radical decisions for the development of Turkish football. Our aim is to bring Turkish football to the place it deserves. If Fenerbahce takes the field in a 5-star jersey, I cannot have any personal attitude here. We do what TFF’s instructions and regulations require.
