Norway’s women’s soccer team has complained about the quality of the balls after beating Northern Ireland in the European Championship.
“There wasn’t that much air in the balls. In quite a few even,” team captain Maren Mjelde told Norwegian radio. “When you hit the ball, it almost felt a little dead.”
Norway’s football star Ada Hegerberg could already see his anger at the ball after a corner kick during the game. “It was a bit soft,” she told broadcaster NRK. “That’s why we asked for a new ball that we can play football with properly.”
After beating Northern Ireland 4-1 on Thursday, Norway are currently leading Group A at the European Women’s Football Championship in England.
