Hidden in a green meander of the East Flemish Leie is the historic Ooidonk castle, one of the few Renaissance castles in our country. Today Count Henry t’Kint de Roodenbeke (62) lives on the domain that was owned 450 years ago by the executed Count of Horne. “After Dad’s death I was quite nervous to take over Ooidonk”, he says in ‘Story’. He says that he had no choice but to take over the castle and reveals how much the electricity bill is. “The well-maintained building is unbelievably precious.”
